Author Guidelines

Author’s Guide

  1. INTRODUCTION:  Manuscript must be in British English prepared on a standard A4 size paper setting. It must be prepared on single space and single column with Calibri Font with page numbers at the bottom and center of every page.
  2. MANUSCRIPT TITLE: The title of the paper should be in a 12 point Calibri Font. It should be bold typed, centered and fully capitalized.
  3. AUTHOR NAME(S) & AFFILIATIONS: the authors(s) full name, designation, address, P.O. Box, and email address should be in italic & 11-point Calibri font. It must be centered underneath the title.
  4. ABSTRACT: Abstract should be in fully italicized text, not exceeding 250 words. The abstract must be informative and explain the background, objectives, methods, results and conclusion in a single paragraph.
  5. KEYWORDS: Abstract must be followed by list of keywords, subject to maximum of five. These should be arranged in alphabetic order separated by commas and full stops at the end.
  6. HEADING: All the heading (title) should be in a 10 point Calibri font. These should be bold-faced, align left and fully capitalized.
  7.  SUB-HEADING: All the sub-headings (authors list) should be in an 8 point Calibri Font. These must be bold-faced, aligned left and fully capitalized.
  8. MAIN TEXT: The main text should be in an 8 Calibri font, single spaced and justified. It includes introduction, methodology, results, discussions, conclusions and recommendation.
  9.  FIGURES AND TABLES: These should be simple, centered, separately numbered and self-explained, and title must be above the tables and below figures. Sources of data should be mentioned below the table/figure if it is secondary sources. It should be insured that the tables/figures are referred to from the main text.
  10. TEXT REFERENCE:  Use the author date format to cite in the text i.e. (author, date).
  11. REFERENCES:  the list of all references should be alphabetically arranged. It must be single spaced, and at the end of the manuscript. The author (s) should mention only the actually utilized references in preparation of manuscript and they are supposed to follow Harvard Style of Referencing.

The authors are supposed to follow the references as follows:

All works cited in the text (including sources for tables and figures) should be listed alphabetically.

  • Use(ed.) for one editor, and (ed.s) for multiple editors.
  • Indicate (opening and closing) page numbers for articles in journals and for chapters in books.
  • The title of books and journals should be italics. Double quotation marks are used for titles of journals articles, book chapters, dissertations, report working papers, unpublished material etc.

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  3. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  4. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
